ServiceNow Configuration Specialist's Role Overview

We are seeking a ServiceNow Configuration Specialist to oversee and govern our IT Asset Management in support of core insurance systems, regulatory compliance, and risk management. This role is critical to ensuring accurate configuration data for systems supporting policy administration, claims, underwriting, and customer platforms, while enabling effective risk and compliance reporting through our configuration and risk management platform.

ServiceNow Configuration Specialist's Core Responsibilities

Define and implement the configuration management platform to meet industry and regulatory requirements, Manage and govern the configuration management platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and data quality Maintain configuration items (CIs) and relationships for insurance applications, infrastructure, and services Support ServiceNow IRM modules (Risk, Policy & Compliance, Audit) with reliable CMDB data Partner with IT, Information Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to support audits and regulatory requirements Ensure systems handling PHI/ePHI are properly identified and classified to support HIPAA compliance Support configuration data reporting, certification, and continuous improvement initiatives

ServiceNow Configuration Specialist's Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Configuration Management, CMDB, or IT Service Management Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB or similar tool set Experience supporting ServiceNow IRM or GRC workflows Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably insurance or financial services Familiarity with HIPAA regulated-regulated systems and data

ServiceNow Configuration Specialist's Preferred Qualifications:

ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CMDB, ITOM, IRM) Experience supporting audits or regulatory exams (HIPAA, SOC, insurance regulators)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
