Job Summary

Join our team as a highly skilled Microservices Architect with extensive ServiceNow expertise to spearhead enterprise-level digital transformation projects. In this role, you will design and architect scalable microservices ecosystems seamlessly integrated with the ServiceNow platform, aimed at modernizing workflows, automating operations, and delivering innovative business services.

Your background should include a blend of robust architectural leadership, ServiceNow platform proficiency, and experience with Java/Spring Boot or Node.js microservices. You will also need a solid grasp of API strategy, cloud-native engineering, and strong stakeholder leadership.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow ArchitectureArchitect and oversee enterprise ServiceNow solutions spanning ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps, and CMDB.Design implementations that are scalable, secure, and safe for upgrades.Lead the architecture of custom applications using App Engine, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.Establish governance, development standards, release strategy, and a long-term roadmap for the platform.Microservices ArchitectureDesign distributed solutions based on microservices that integrate efficiently with ServiceNow workflows.Define service boundaries applying domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and API-first standards.Develop reusable business services for various domains such as claims, HR, customer service, asset lifecycle, approvals, and case management.Lead the transition from monolithic systems to microservices ecosystems.Integration LeadershipArchitect integrations linking ServiceNow with enterprise platforms like SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Jira, Oracle, Azure AD, and AWS systems.Design REST / SOAP / GraphQL APIs.Implement asynchronous integrations utilizing Kafka, RabbitMQ, Event Grid, and SNS/SQS.Cloud / DevOpsLead deployment models using Kubernetes and Docker.Define CI/CD pipelines for both platform and microservices releases.Establish frameworks for observability, resilience, site reliability engineering (SRE), logging, tracing, and security controls.LeadershipLead engineering teams including developers, platform administrators, and offshore teams.Conduct architecture reviews and present solutions to executives.Estimate project efforts, plan roadmaps, mitigate risks, and strategize modernization.Required Skills

ServiceNowExtensive experience in ServiceNow architecture.Proficiency with UI Builder / Service Portal.IntegrationHub expertise.Flow Designer skills.CMDB / Discovery knowledge.Roles-based access control (ACL) and security understanding.Scoped application development experience.Familiarity with ATF and upgrade planning.MicroservicesProficient in Java / Spring Boot OR Node.js / NestJS.Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL.Knowledge of event-driven architecture.Understanding of Kafka / MQ patterns.Experience with API Gateway.Expertise in designing distributed systems.Cloud / InfrastructureFamiliarity with AWS / Azure / GCP.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.Knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI.DatabaseExperienced with PostgreSQL / MySQL.Knowledge of MongoDB / DynamoDB.Understanding of caching with Redis.Preferred Qualifications
