Hardware Asset Management (ServiceNow) Analyst

The Hardware Service Asset & Configuration Management Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of enterprise hardware asset management across the organization. This position partners closely with technology, security, and operations teams to manage the full lifecycle of hardware assets-from acquisition through retirement-while maintaining trusted data within ServiceNow.

This is a hands-on, operational role ideal for someone who enjoys working with both systems and physical assets, thrives in a structured environment, and is interested in developing deep expertise in ServiceNow, asset lifecycle management, and audit controls within a large enterprise setting.

Note: This role is designed as a fulltime, onsite position, requiring presence in the office five days per week. Limited flexibility may be available based on business needs and manager approval.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute hardware asset audits across help desks, stockrooms, and warehouse locations, including domestic and international sites; ensure timely completion and resolution of discrepancies.Reconcile audit results, document findings, and track corrective actions to closure within ServiceNow.Oversee monthly lease return activities, including identifying eligible devices, validating asset data, preparing vendor return files, and ensuring all ServiceNow asset tasks are completed prior to shipment.Scan, categorize, update, and retire hardware assets accurately within ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with asset lifecycle and configuration management standards.Release Apple devices from the environment using Apple Business Manager (ABM) as part of decommissioning processes.Conduct quarterly stockroom access reviews; identify required access changes and partner with Global Security to remediate gaps or exceptions.Track and maintain asset data across procurement, deployment, refresh, and disposal stages, including location, ownership, lease status, and lifecycle state.Provide hands-on warehouse support as needed, including receiving and shipping equipment, completing material transport requests, and safely moving equipment (using pallet jacks when required; training provided).Serve as a ServiceNow subject matter resource, validating platform updates through multi-layer testing, supporting asset-related workflows, and ensuring consistent functionality across regions.Build and maintain ServiceNow reports and dashboards to support audits, inventory accuracy, and operational reporting.Contribute to documentation efforts by capturing procedures, workflows, and process improvements that support audit readiness and operational consistency.

Qualifications

Experience working in hardware asset management, configuration management, IT operations, or service management within an enterprise environment.Hands-on experience using ServiceNow, with demonstrated proficiency in: Hardware Asset Management (HAM)Configuration Management Database (CMDB)Asset lifecycle tracking and task managementReporting and dashboardsData validation, reconciliation, and quality controlsFamiliarity with ServiceNow workflows, forms, filters, business rules, and asset states.Experience supporting or participating in audits, inventory reconciliations, or compliance-related activities.Working knowledge of hardware lifecycle processes, including intake, deployment, refresh, lease returns, and retirement.Comfort working in environments that require strict process adherence, data accuracy, and documentation.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.Ability to learn new tools, systems, and processes quickly and apply them consistently.Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, integrations, or asset normalization.Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM) or other endpoint management tools.Exposure to ITIL-based processes, particularly Asset Management or Configuration Management practices.Interest in data analysis, trend identification, or audit optimization.Experience documenting processes, procedures, or standard operating guides.
