SAP BTP Integration Developer - Canada (PST)
About The Role
We are looking for a skilled SAP BTP Integration Developer to join our team and drive enterprise-wide integration initiatives. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end development across SAP and non-SAP systems, leveraging SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and the broader SAP BTP platform to build robust, scalable solutions.
You will bring deep expertise in cloud integration, event-driven architecture, API lifecycle management, and enterprise security standards. The right candidate thrives in complex, cross-functional environments and has a strong track record of delivering integration solutions that meet both technical and business objectives.
What You’ll Do
Build, enhance, and maintain iFlow integrations within SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite Architect and deliver integrations using REST, SOAP, IDocs, OData, XML, and JSON protocols Create and support OData-based integrations connecting to SAP backend systems Set up and administer SAP API Management, including policy enforcement, security controls, throttling configurations, and full API lifecycle governance Build and sustain event-driven integrations through SAP Event Mesh and Advanced Event Mesh Proactively monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues across APIs, integration flows, and message processing pipelines to uphold system reliability Design and maintain secure file-based integrations using SFTP and related transfer mechanisms Apply encryption/decryption techniques, certificate management, and secure communication protocols across enterprise integrations Develop sophisticated iFlows leveraging diverse integration palettes and Groovy scripting Enable seamless connectivity between SAP ecosystems and third-party applications or cloud platforms Uphold high coding standards and ensure alignment with integration governance policies and best practices Author and maintain technical documentation, including deployment guides and operational runbooks Partner with SAP functional consultants, business stakeholders, and infrastructure teams to advance project goals and drive continuous improvement Engage in requirements gathering, sprint planning, status reporting, and cross-team collaboration
What You Bring
6-8 years of overall SAP experience, including a minimum of 3 years specializing in SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite Solid hands-on background with SAP BTP and cloud-native integration technologies Demonstrated experience with SAP Event Mesh and/or Advanced Event Mesh implementations Proven expertise in SAP API Management, including API policy design and enforcement Proficiency in message monitoring, error handling strategies, and ongoing integration support Practical experience with SFTP-based file integrations and secure connectivity approaches Working knowledge of encryption, decryption, and certificate-based security practices Strong background in OData integrations and SAP backend system connectivity Solid command of REST/SOAP APIs, IDocs, XML, JSON, and core middleware concepts Experience connecting SAP environments with non-SAP enterprise applications and cloud services In-depth understanding of integration best practices, security standards, and performance tuning Ability to operate effectively within cross-functional teams in fast-moving project environments Excellent communication, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement abilities Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
Nice to Have
Active SAP BTP or SAP Integration Suite certifications Hands-on exposure to event-driven and asynchronous messaging design patterns Background working within Agile or hybrid project delivery frameworks Prior experience in the Media industry is advantageous
