ServiceNow FSO Architect Manager

The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled ServiceNow FSO Architect (Certified Technical Architect) to join our dynamic team. In this senior technical role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced ServiceNow solutions such as Payments, Fraud, Complaints, and Disputes within Financial Services organizations.

This position demands hands-on technical leadership, guiding solution architecture across workflows, integrations, data management, security, and performance optimization. You will lead complex implementations, tackle technical challenges head-on, and ensure our solutions comply with best practices and regulatory standards.

Your ability to transform business requirements into scalable and secure technical architectures will be vital in this role.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager in Application Design and Development, you will spearhead the management and delivery of innovative solutions and projects while prioritizing quality and mitigating risks. This role provides exciting challenges and growth opportunities, allowing you to utilize your expertise to guide your team toward quality solutions. You will frequently engage with clients, facilitating workshops, and leading workstreams from inception to execution and closure. Travel may be required based on client needs.

Develop effective solutions for complex problems, including recommending policy modifications and establishing procedures impacting your area of work.

Exercise discernment in selecting evaluation methods, techniques, and criteria to achieve desired results.

Provide direction and constructive feedback to team members, ensuring successful task completion.

Architecture & Design

Lead comprehensive technical designs for ServiceNow disputes solutions.

Establish technical architectures encompassing:

Case and workflow design

Integration and data flows

Security and access controls

Ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices, architectural standards, and platform capabilities.

Own key architectural decisions and assess trade-offs.

Tackle complex and ambiguous technical challenges within the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Act as an escalation point for difficult performance issues and integration failures.

Evaluate alternatives and recommend optimal solutions based on feasibility and delivery impact.

Continuously enhance architectures based on lessons learned and evolving requirements.

Implementation Leadership & Delivery

Oversee technical implementation activities across multiple delivery teams.

Provide hands-on leadership during critical design and build phases.

Ensure accurate translation of architecture into configuration and code.

Assist teams in resolving complex build and deployment challenges.

Collaborate with project leadership to guarantee successful outcomes.

Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Address complex technical issues that threaten timelines or quality.

Balance delivery speed with architectural integrity.

Serve as a technical advisor in solution design workshops and customer technical discussions.

Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Work closely with CMAs, solution architects, developers, and quality testers.

Platform & Workflow Architecture

Architect advanced ServiceNow workflows using case management and state-driven designs.

Utilize event-based and rules-driven orchestration techniques.

Support long-running and high-volume transactions.

Optimize performance, scalability, and resilience for enterprise workloads.

Design reusable technical patterns and implementation assets.

Integration & Security Architecture

Lead the technical architecture for integrations with card networks and external processors.

Collaborate with core banking, fraud, and document systems.

Connect with third-party platforms and APIs.

Define and implement secure integration patterns, including synchronous and asynchronous flows.

Establish data protection and tokenization strategies.

Ensure designs comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in IT or cybersecurity, with extensive hands-on experience in ServiceNow development or architecture.

ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification.

Certified Implementation Specialist - CSM.

Suite Certification - FSO Insurance Professional.

Suite Certification - FSO Banking and Wealth Management Professional.

Significant hands-on experience in architecting and delivering ServiceNow solutions.

Demonstrated success in leading technically complex implementations.

Experience with financial services workflows, disputes, or compliance-driven processes is preferred.

Ability to confidently lead technical discussions with customers and stakeholders.

Prior consulting experience.

Exceptional soft skills including executive communication (verbal and written), adaptability, problem-solving, teamwork, relationship building, dependability, and organizational skills.

Experience in leading teams and overseeing others.

A valid U.S. driver's license.

Willingness to travel 40-60% to meet client needs.
