ServiceNow ITOM Specialist

Role: ServiceNow ITOM Engineer

Responsibilities: Coordinate with Government stakeholders and the ServiceNow ITOM Architect to design, implement, and configure ServiceNow ITOM capabilities Participate in enterprise discovery workshops to define CMDB strategy, scope, and policy requirements Implement, configure, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management Integrate ServiceNow ITOM with Axonius for enhanced asset visibility and security alignment Contribute to key contract deliverables: Test plans and validation scripts CMDB Solution Strategy Architecture Plan Security Assessment documentation Ensure alignment with ITSM processes and ITIL best practices Support the full software development lifecycle including planning, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management Work within Agile Scrum teams to deliver iterative improvements Use MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint to document and track progress Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field 7+ years of direct experience in IT operations, service management, or related roles Proven experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, CMDB, and Service Mapping Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) or Certified ServiceNow Developer (CAD) Strong understanding of ITSM and ITIL frameworks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desired Skills: Axonius Platform experience IT Asset Management (ITAM) experience Active DoD Top Secret or higher clearance JavaScript / AngularJS development experience System integration experience using: Web services (REST / SOAP) XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP Agile or Scrum Master Certification Proven ability to work independently to identify and resolve complex problems Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs
